Bullish Nancy insists he is not worried about being fired but supporters show fury following derby defeat.
The Celtic boss declared he was not afraid of dismissal, asserting, “We are really close to a turnaround,” in the wake of moving dangerously close to the exit with a heavy setback against Rangers.
A Second-Half Meltdown Leads to Derby Disaster
Celtic were ahead their oldest rivals at the interval but a disastrous second period enabled the Gers to draw level on points with the current league title holders. The former MLS manager, who was brought in in December, has now presided over six setbacks in his first eight matches.
“There is unity at the club,” stated the manager.
Questioned about his own future, the 48-year-old responded: “That’s not my focus. My focus is on finding ways to get the team to excel on the fine details.
Fan Fury Erupts

“I saw many, many good things that we did, once more. The issue now is performing for 90 minutes. My outlook would be different the same. Therefore I am convinced we will manage to get back on track.”
Röhl’s Cautious Response
The victorious boss played down talk of a serious challenge even after what felt like a huge result. “One match at a time, and we can really build up something here,” he said. “The faith in the squad is immense.”
