The captain The difference-maker scoring 77th and 78th finishes at international level. His first a typical opportunist's goal and the second an excellent finish with his head having drifted away off his defender. Now 32, his form is unwavering and England stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him up top. 8/10

The attacker Found it tough to influence play on the left flank. Was presented with a presentable chance after being played in by Bellingham however Strakosha kept it out. His replacement made much more of an impact in his place. 5/10
