The head of state traveled to address national troops in the Pokrovsk area on the start of the week. Zelenskyy announced that he engaged with fighters at the military base of the initial brigade of the state defense force Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya area, a location approximately a short distance from Pokrovsk.

Volatile Situation in the Area

Recent mapping from a Ukrainian project indicated that invading troops had made gains into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though much of it was not fully held by both forces. The conditions are severe, with reports indicating that opposition troops were fortifying positions and enhancing fortifications in various sectors.

Russian forces are pushing forward in the Pokrovsk front and are reportedly acting with increasing comfort within urban Pokrovsk.

Analysts observed that Ukrainian forces had liberated a significant portion of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya front, on the east side of the Pokrovsk operation.

Ukrainian Aerial Attacks Within Russia

Ukrainian long-range drones attacked an industrial plant approximately 1,300km inside Russian territory at the location. Regional authorities announced a detonation at the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant that led to the partial collapse to be compromised, adding that the cause of the explosion was undetermined. The national defense command stated there was extensive harm to the plant.

Defense units said it struck a petroleum facility at the city in the Russian region to the east of the capital. The extent of the damage was being assessed. The local official verified an assault by numerous aerial vehicles near Kstovo.
